Friday morning : Combo class | Wheel throwing & Hand Building

Explore both wheel throwing and handbuilding techniques in our popular Combo class!

Over the Term, Ang will guide you through the fundamentals of both wheel throwing and hand building. Three weeks will be spent learning the basics of each technique and then you'll have a week to work on a project of your choice using either technique.

The course will cover the principles of wheel throwing - from clay preparation, centering and pulling up - and the different hand building techniques - pinching, coiling and slab building. 

At the end of Term, you will explore our extensive  in house glaze collection and different techniques to put the finishing touch on your creations.

This course allows you to learn more about clay and explore two main techniques of creating ceramics - what a perfect way to unwind in a creative, nurturing setting!

You will come away with pieces ranging from mugs, bowls, cups, vases to incense burners and candle sticks!
